On/Off D

This module is used for switching On or Off the electrical device, like light, fan, oven, washing machine, iron, power socket, garage door, electric radiator, water heater, etc…

Output contact is voltage free (dry contact), so also loads with different power supply can be connected to the module.

The most simplified installation

Extremely small size and special designed casing ensure the most simplified installation (ease of cabling fixing) inside a flush mounting box. Proved and tested by professional electricians.

1. Remove the switches from the box. Disconnect the wires from the switches.

2. Connect the wires to the NETIC module. Insert NETIC module in the box.

3. Fix the switches to the box.

The module can be used as an extension for control the heating/cooling system. The module has the option to connect a digital temperature sensor.

Used module also for scenes and triggers execution and increase comfort and security with additional sensors. On/Off D relay has two free binary inputs.

Setting parameters

Parameter no. 1 – Input I1 switch type

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 Byte DEC):

  • default value 1
  • 0 – mono-stable switch type (push button)
  • 1 – bi-stable switch type

Parameter no. 2 – Input I2 contact type

To Input I2 you can connect push button for scenes or any kind of binary sensor,like open door-window sensor.

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 Byte DEC):

  • default value 0
  • 0 – NO (normally open) input type
  • 1 – NC (normally close) input type

Parameter no. 11 – Automatic turning off output after set time

TVs, Hi-Fi systems and other home appliances have already integrated automatic turn off functionality, this module also offers this functionality. Automatic turning off function allows energy saving, without doing scenes on Z-Wave controller.

This function, for example also allows automatic re-locking door after defined time.

When relay is ON it goes automatically OFF after time defined by this parameter. Timer is reset to zero each time the module receive ON command regardless from where it comes (push button, associated module, gateway,..).

Available configuration parameters (data type is 2 Byte DEC):

  • Default value 0
  • 0 – Auto OFF disabled
  • 1 – 32535 = 1second (0,01s) – 32535 seconds (325,35s) Auto OFF enabled with define time, step is 1s or 10ms according to parameter nr.15

Parameter no. 12 – Automatic turning on output after set time

When relay is OFF it goes automatically ON after time defined by this parameter. Timer is reset to zero each time the module receive OFF command regardless from where it comes (push button, associated module, gateway,..).

Available configuration parameters (data type is 2 Byte DEC):

  • Default value 0
  • 0 – Auto ON disabled
  • 1 – 32535 = 1second (0,01s) – 32536 seconds (325,35s) Auto ON enabled with define time, step is 1s or 10ms according to parameter nr.15

Parameter no. 15 – Automatic turning off / on seconds or milliseconds selection

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 Byte DEC):

  • Default value 0
  • 0 – seconds selected
  • 1 – milliseconds selected

Please note that this parameter is valid for both, Automatic turning off (Parameter no. 11) and Automatic turning on (Parameter no. 12).

Parameter no. 30 – Saving the state of the relay after a power failure

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 Byte DEC):

  • default value 0
  • 0 – On/Off D relay module saves its state before power failure (it returns to the last position saved before a power failure)
  • 1 – On/Off D relay module does not save the state after a power failure, it returns to “off” position.

Some valves are normally opened (NO), some are normally closed (NC).
NO – if the power is off, the valve is open
NC – if the power is off, the valve is closed

Parameter no. 63 – Switch selection

Set value means the type of the device that is connected to the relay output. The device type can be normally open (NO) or normally close (NC).

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 Byte DEC):

  • default value 0
  • 0 – When system is turned off, contact are open (NO)
  • 1 – When system is turned off relay contact is close (NC)

Binary switch and binary sensor I2 widgets are visible in the UI.

Disabled Endpoint I2 – widget is not visible in the UI, only the binary
switch widget is visible in the UI.

Parameter no. 100 – Enable / Disable Endpoint I2

Enabling I2 means that Endpoint I2 will be present on UI. Disabling will result in hiding endpoints according to parameter set value. Note that hiding endpoint has no impact on it functionality.

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 Byte DEC):

  • default value 1
  • 1 – Endpoint, I2 enabled
  • 0 – Endpoint, I2 disabled

NOTE: After parameter change module has to be reconfigured!

Temperature sensor setting

Parameter no. 110 – Temperature sensor offset settings

If the temperature sensor is connected to the module, the temperature sensor widget is shown automatically in UI (user interface).

If the measured temperature with an additional temperature measuring device is different from the one measured by the connected digital temperature sensor, the temperature can be compensated by this parameter.

Available configuration parameters (data type is 2 Byte DEC):

  • default value 32536
  • 32536 – offset is 0.0C
  • From 1 to 100 – value from 0.1 °C to 10.0 °C is added to actual measured temperature.
  • From 1001 to 1100 – value from -0.1 °C to -10.0 °C is subtracted to actual measured temperature.

Parameter no. 120 – Digital temperature sensor reporting

If digital temperature sensor is connected, module reports measured temperature on temperature change defined by this parameter.

Available configuration parameters (data type is 1 Byte DEC):

  • Default value 5 (Temperature is reported on 0,5°C change)
  • 0 – Reporting disabled
  • 1- 127 = 0,1°C – 12,7°C, step is 0,1°C
